Alaska LNG files progress update

Alaska LNG has filed its monthly progress report to the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for the period 1 – 30 April 2016.
Alaska LNG confirmed that the schedule for submittal of the final application for the LNG project is expected to be a minimum of 3 months beyond the original scheduled date of September 2016, due to ongoing pre-Front End Engineering and Design (pre-FEED) and engineering optimisation work.
The Alaska LNG Project will include a natural gas liquefaction plant and storage facilities, as well as an export terminal at Nikiski on the Kenai Peninsula. The project will consist of an 800-mile gas pipeline from southcentral Alaska to the North Slope, a gas treatment plant, and transmission lines connecting the project to gas producing fields.
The LNG project is expected to produce and export up to 20 million tpy of LNG.
