NMDC awarded EPC contract for Indian LNG terminal

Abu Dhabi-based National Marine Dredging Co. (NMDC) has announced that it has been awarded a contract worth US$316 million for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a new LNG terminal in Gujarat, India. This capital development programme will involve major dredging and marine infrastructure works.
NMDC will also be involved in land reclamation activities, as well as in the construction of breakwaters, jetties and associated facilities.
The company claims that it will begin to mobilise equipment to the working site in the post-monsoon 2016 period.
In the statement, NMDC said: “This project award marks a new milestone for NMDC in its strategic expansion plans to expand its operational footprint into Asia.”
