For the sixth consecutive year, Snam has been awarded the Gold Standard recognition under the Oil & Gas Methane Partnership 2.0 (OGMP 2.0), the initiative promoted by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to advance the measurement, reporting, and reduction of methane emissions across the energy sector.

The recognition confirms Snam’s continued commitment to making methane emissions measurement and reporting increasingly accurate and transparent.

This result has also been supported by the growing use of advanced detection technologies. In particular, monitoring campaigns carried out using sensors installed on drones have helped verify the robustness of emissions quantification in the field, bringing the score for assets operated by the Group to 4.8 out of 5.
