The vessel will be constructed by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd in China and is scheduled for delivery in 2028. Following delivery, the vessel will be deployed in LNG transportation services to Japan.
Representatives from MLNG, MISC, and NYK attended a signing ceremony held in Tokyo on 9 October 2026. At the ceremony, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to working closely together to ensure the safe and steady execution of the project.
NYK Senior Managing Executive Officer, Hironobu Watanabe, said: “We are very pleased to have concluded this charter agreement. Together with MLNG, MISC, and our other partners, we will strive to provide safe and reliable LNG transportation services and contribute to the stable supply of energy to Japan.”
